This makes it more accessible to everyday users who may not have the technical know-how or resources to mine Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies.

Pi Network allows users to mine the Pi cryptocurrency using their smartphones, which means that the process is less energy-intensive and can be done by anyone with a smartphone. The app also allows users to transfer and receive Pi, making it a viable cryptocurrency for everyday transactions. The Pi Network was founded by a team of three individuals:

  3. Vincent McPhillip - a business and marketing specialist who has worked at various companies including Google, Morgan Stanley, and AngelList.

Together, they created the Pi Network in 2019 with the goal of creating a decentralized cryptocurrency that is accessible to everyone, even those without specialized technical knowledge or expensive mining equipment. The Pi Network uses a unique consensus algorithm called the Stellar Consensus Protocol (SCP) that allows users to mine Pi tokens on their mobile devices without draining their battery or data.
